AlmaLinux / RockyLinux

These guides have been verified to work on AlmaLinux 9 and Rocky Linux 9.

With general Linux knowledge it should be straightforward to adapt them to other rpm-based distributions such as RHEL.

Warning

Older distributions are unsupported. We do not test with them, and things may or may not be broken. We do not recommend such distributions unless you have a very strong technical reason for it and also the necessary system administration knowledge to know how to debug and deal with any compatibility issues you may encounter.

Note

Please note that you must use Apache if you intend to use SSO using Shibboleth. If that’s not the case because you do not use SSO at all or use e.g. OAuth, OIDC or SAML without Shibboleth, we recommend using nginx.
